How We Began
PipStones Publishing began in 2018 as a mother-daughter venture built around Deborah Hoffman’s passion for writing. After completing her first manuscript in 2010, Deborah explored many publishing options but quickly realized how challenging and discouraging parts of the traditional publishing industry could be.

As self-publishing began gaining momentum around 2015, we recognized an opportunity to take a new approach. While working together to bring Deborah’s books to life, we developed the knowledge and experience needed to navigate the modern publishing landscape.

What started as a personal journey soon grew into a larger vision: helping other authors successfully publish and share their stories with the world. That vision became PipStones Publishing.

Our vision is to assist authors by paving a foundational pathway for publishing/marketing their distinctive and unique writings. We believe that authors should have the freedom to continue writing instead of spending time figuring out how to publish and sell their works. All authors should have the same traction in the self-publishing industry that authors do in traditional publishing.​
Our Progress
Since our launch, we have proudly published several of our own books and assisted countless authors in bringing their works to life. We have expanded our company to better serve authors and recently added a coaching branch to empower you with the tools you need to succeed. Meet The Team
Rachel Hoffman
​Executive Assistant
Rachel A. Hoffman is the Executive Assistant at PipStones Publishing, where she helps support the daily operations of the company and assists with a variety of administrative and business functions.
In her role, Rachel works closely with the PipStones team to support the company’s endeavors, helping ensure that projects move forward smoothly for both authors and staff. Her attention to detail and strong organizational skills help keep the many moving parts of the publishing process on track.
Rachel also brings a creative spirit to the team. As an artist on the Emerald Coast, she draws inspiration from the beauty and culture of the region, reflecting the same creativity and enthusiasm that PipStones values in storytelling and publishing.
Rachel’s positive energy, dedication, and commitment to helping others make her a valued member of the PipStones Publishing team.
Philline San Juan
​Administrative Assistant & Researcher
Philline Minette San Juan is a highly organized and results-driven Administrative Assistant with extensive experience supporting executives and teams in fast-paced business environments. She specializes in calendar and email management, travel coordination, project oversight, and administrative support. Her professional background includes both remote and in-office roles with international companies, where she has consistently demonstrated a strong focus on customer service, effective communication, and operational efficiency.
Outside of work, Philline enjoys singing and dancing—though she humorously admits the feeling might not always be mutual. Her hobbies include listening to worship music, serving in church ministry, and preparing sermons to share with the congregation.
Philline is also a devoted pastor’s wife and a proud mother to one wonderful child. Together with her husband, she helps shepherd a church community of over 150 members, dedicating herself to serving and guiding them with faith and love.
Elizabeth Omoh
Professional Editor & Content Writer
Elizabeth is a professional content writer, editor, and proofreader with over five years of experience and a growing interest in technical writing. She currently works remotely with Pipstone Publishing, where she helps refine public-facing content, online courses, and books.
Outside of work, she enjoys going on solo dates, creating video content for her growing social media platforms, and unwinding with wholesome movies. She believes in the power of clear communication while preserving an author’s unique voice—and in the little things that make stories shine.
Evan Kyle Perez
Marketing & Social Media Specialist
Evan grew up amidst the stark urban landscape of Taguig and the natural beauty of Cagayan de Oro, which shaped his for both city life and technology. Accompanying his father on business trips during his childhood sparked a fascination with innovation, from desktop PCs to modern smartphones and handheld consoles. These experiences laid the groundwork for a lifelong passion for digital landscapes and urban.
Driven by the belief that exceeding expectations leads to meaningful growth, Evan has cultivated a strong work ethic and a commitment to clear communication. His skills refined through various internships, involvement, and international collaborations, allowing him to thrive in diverse environments. He understands the importance of teamwork and the value of learning from different perspectives.
In an age dominated by automation and AI, Evan remains to preserving the human touch in his work. He values authenticity and intention in every project he undertakes, believing that these qualities are essential for creating impactful and meaningful connections.
